Our consultants
Behind every CBCi engagement is a small bench of consultants, each brought in for the part of a program that calls for their particular experience — deposit and loan operations, procedures and documentation, call center design, general ledger work. Between them they bring decades of community bank experience.
We keep the bench small on purpose. A bank should know the people working on its conversion by name, and it should get those same people from kickoff through go-live.

Jeff Simpkins, Founder and Managing Member
Jeff Simpkins began his career inside two small community banks in North Carolina. He spent the years that followed working with community banks through technology companies, and in 2008 he founded the firm that works today on the bank's side of the table. Over nearly forty years he has worked with roughly two hundred banks — on-site with banks in each of the lower forty-eight states, and remotely with banks in all fifty.
He serves as external program manager on Jack Henry SilverLake conversions. In practice that means he holds the master plan, runs the meeting cadence, and coordinates every party in the program — the incoming core, the outgoing core's deconversion team, digital banking, card processing, and the bank's own departments — so that the bank's leadership can make decisions from one current picture rather than from a dozen vendor updates.
His work runs from contract through go-live and into the stabilization period that follows.
Jeff's view is that a conversion is a people project that happens to involve software, and he runs his programs that way. He chases open items to closure where that is possible, and names them out loud as risks where it is not.
He works from Bermuda Run, North Carolina.
